iBIO - NSERVE

As a result of NSERVE’s partnership with iBIO, CTE and science departments at Maine East and Niles Township high schools applied for, and received, Innovation Talent grants, which are featured in the iBIO Institute’s quarterly publication, Biological. Maine East High School is working with experts at Astellas Pharmaceuticals on the efficacy of specific drugs for hospital-acquired vs. community-acquired MRSA. Niles West High School is working with Abbott Laboratories scientists to explore how Abbott might advocate for personalized medicine in a way that positively impacts patient health, addressing the practical and ethical considerations raised by personalized medicine. Niles North High School is working with PCTEL, Inc., a global leader in the wireless industry, as well as the American Electronics Association (AeA).
